Claire Rupio, Christian Atsu’s wife, has responded to the news of the former Newcastle and Chelsea winger’s passing.
Rupio, who is inconsolable and has three children with Atsu, posted a picture of them with two of their children.

Marie-Claire Rupio, the spouse of Christian Atsu, has spoken out after learning that her husband was discovered dead in Turkey’s earthquake debris.
Atsu was discovered, and his body was retrieved from under the debris on Saturday, February 18, 2023, precisely 12 days after he was buried alive under the debris.
After learning that Atsu’s mortal remains had been found, his partner asked for privacy to process her loss.
In a post on her Instagram stories, the German-born woman shared a picture from a family outing she had with Atsu and two of their kids.
She noted on the photo that despite receiving many messages, she was too busy to reply to them all because of the pressure of the circumstance.
“I am aware of all the messages, but as you can all appreciate, this is a very trying time. My three children’s father was this individual “She spoke.
