Why I Used The Name ‘Kudus’ In My Black Stars World Cup Anthem – Kweku Flick Reveals

Ghanaian musician Kweku Flick has explained why he used the name ‘Kudus’ in the chorus of his Black Stars World Cup Anthem song which became a banger.

The whole idea was that I wanted something which will be rhythmic and something in the hook which will make people easily sing along,” he said

He added “So when I considered the name Kudus I realized it was simple and everyone can easily pronounce it whether you’re a child or an elderly person”.

The 21-year-old rapper born Andy Osei Sarfo who is based in the Ashanti Region recently met Black Stars player, Mohammed Kudus in Kumasi during the AFCON qualifier with Angola.

“I wanted something that everyone can easily respond to which will be like a call and response and that’s what made me use the name Kudus in my Black Stars theme song,” he said

“That’s why in the song you will hear me say Kudus dey Kudus dey and it also turned into a prophecy during the World Cup and so whatever happens I think that it’s okay,” he revealed
